Soft Stands LLC is owned and operated by the Lundberg family in rural Pennsylvania. Eric is a nurseryman by profession. He plays the Horn in several local concert bands and a woodwind ensemble. He is also active with performing on baroque and renaissance recorders. Eric invented the basic concept of the Soft Stand system, and is the owner of the US patent. Terri is a retired choral music teacher. She does some of the sewing.
All of the work on the stands is done by the Lundbergs. We buy kiln dried rough-cut lumber at a local sawmill and machine it ourselves down to the required shapes and dimensions. We use USA made components whenever possible. We take great care in every step (there are a LOT of steps!) of construction to ensure that you will have an attractive, sturdy, reliable, long lasting, and most important, a soft stand that will never dent or scratch your expensive instrument.
